Results Day 3 (cropped)
Students and teachers are celebrating the best results the school has achieved since it became an Academy.

Students at Kings have achieved a fantastic set of GCSE results, with many students overachieving against their own very high standards. The English department saw an impressive improvement of 22% in grades 9-4 and an improvement of 25% in grades 9-5, with more than half of all students now achieving this benchmark. In Mathematics, grades 9-4 improved by 16% and there was a 13% improvement in grades 9-5.

8% of all students secured Grade 9s.

The school's Progress 8 grade is expected to improve by at least +0.5.

Principal Alastair McKenzie said "We are delighted with the results. So many students have significantly over-achieved because of their hard work and the skilled teaching they have received. As a school community we will celebrate together.

Our Progress 8 improvement will be amongst the highest in the country and will further enhance our reputation as a school on a remarkable upward trajectory.

As well as celebrating our students who have achieved grade 9s and 8s, I am equally proud of the progress of students at all levels. I would like to offer my thanks to the teaching and support staff at the school for the work they have put in to allow students to achieve as well as they have and also to our parents, who have supported their children so admirably.

It's wonderful to see so many happy faces!”
